Happy #FeatureFriday #ladybosses! Toda's feature is the two women from the band, The Little Birds, Emily Douglas and Jenna Heerdt.
The Little Birds are an indie/folk duo out of, you guessed it, #Chicago! Over the past year they have been focusing on writing original compositions and creating cover videos of today's popular music.
Jenna and Emily met in 2008 at the Janice Borla Vocal Jazz Camp before their freshman year at North Central College. Upon their first day of meeting they quickly realized the musical bond they shared and their mutual love for tight harmonies. The two have been singing together ever since, leading to the creation of The Little Birds in 2015.
For the last year and a half, Jenna and Emily have been focusing on creating cover videos and writing original material for The Little Birds. They also are part of a rock band called Oblio And Arrow where they collaborate with other Chicago musicians; Matthew Kopecky, Mike Krieglstein, Brian Whitebread, and Zack Darce. Jenna also plays keyboards and Emily plays bells and percussion in this project.
You can find all of The Little Birds videos, music, and upcoming performances on their facebook and instagram.
